Gobind Says MyGOV Will Add More Services as Agentic ‘Agenda AI’ Heads for Government Meetings

The government will add more services to the MyGOV Malaysia app by the end of the year and bring practical AI applications into its own operations by the end of 2026, Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo told the Dewan Rakyat on October 22, The Star reported. The moves are part of the GovTech Malaysia plan to link digital services across ministries and spare people from submitting the same information to different agencies.

“GovTech Malaysia is not just about digitising existing processes. It is about redesigning the way the government delivers services,” Gobind said. MyGOV Malaysia had recorded 3,199,120 downloads and 3,014,096 active users as at October 8, and it integrates 62 services from 22 public-sector agencies using MyDigital ID as a single sign-on. Services range from checking and paying summonses and replacing a MyKad to managing health appointments, checking exam results and searching for unclaimed money.

Two AI projects stand out. GovTech Malaysia is developing TanyaKerajaan, an AI-based information and assistance service, as a shared platform. Agenda AI, a meeting management system built on agentic AI, will handle recordings, transcriptions, minutes and follow-up actions. Other services in the pipeline include MyPersona for more personalised services and MyAppointment for bookings.

What it means in practice

From 2027, Gobind said, the government will stop building separate apps for individual agencies and focus on a reusable platform ecosystem, linking services to life events such as the birth of a child, starting school, beginning work, opening a business and retirement. For citizens, that could mean fewer forms; for civil servants, Agenda AI could take over minute-taking that eats into working hours. Gobind said data sharing, cybersecurity, privacy, data governance and public-sector digital talent would also be priorities.

Agentic tools inside government will raise questions the ministry is already working through, from its planned national command centre for AI-aided decisions to the AI governance bill Gobind expects in the Dewan Rakyat early next year. The infrastructure side was set out in Budget 2027's sovereign AI cloud plans.

What to watch: when TanyaKerajaan goes live in MyGOV, which ministries pilot Agenda AI first, and how meeting recordings processed by AI will be stored and protected.
